My Story

Reflecting upon the profound question, "Which of Allah's blessings can you deny?" my heart overflows with gratitude for the countless blessings in my life. From my cherished daughters, who are the epitome of joy, to the unwavering support of my family and friends, each step of my journey has been a testament to the abundance of grace that surrounds us.

My academic pursuit began at the University of Agriculture in Faisalabad, Pakistan, where I delved into the world of Genetics. Despite the fascination and love for what I studied, a deeper sense of fulfillment seemed elusive. It wasn't until I embarked on my career, initially as a bank director, that I discovered my true passion—helping people. This revelation was not just about solving financial issues but understanding and addressing deeper personal struggles.

Immigrating to the U.S. opened new horizons for me, especially when I encountered the field of psychology. It was an avenue through which I could further my mission to alleviate suffering. My intrigue for human behavior propelled me to acquire a graduate degree in psychology, followed by a doctorate. With a background in genetics, I was naturally drawn to neuroscience, becoming a certified neuroscientist. This unique combination of physical and social sciences broadened my perspective, allowing me to analyze human behavior on a much deeper level.

My doctoral thesis focused on childhood sexual abuse among Pakistani women, a topic close to my heart. It allowed me to conduct research back in Pakistan and connect with numerous professionals dedicated to mental health. This experience reaffirmed my commitment to contribute to my home country's betterment. By training mental health professionals in Pakistan, I aim to share the latest research and techniques, striving to dismantle the community's stigma surrounding mental health.

Traveling the world, conducting seminars, and giving talks have exposed me to various cultural perspectives on mental health. Despite differing problems, I've observed a common thread among people worldwide: the pursuit of contentness. From the wealthiest individuals in despair to the poorest harboring similar feelings, it's clear that a positive and healthy attitude towards life is key to contentment.

My journey from genetics to neuroscience and mental health advocacy is a reflection of my belief in living a purposeful life. It's about forging a connection with our creator and finding peace within ourselves. My mission is to help others navigate their struggles, offering a holistic approach to mental well-being that encompasses both scientific expertise and compassionate care.
